Fred Buscaglione

Fred Buscaglione was in the late fifties one of the most popular artist everywhere: in advertisements, on television and in movies, first with little singing exhibitions, and later in roles self-interpreting almost always sympathetic bully figures.

His performances are real art performances, accompanied by outstanding instrumentalists (the Asternovas). The sale of his records was so high that it can be considered the champion of the first real boom in Italian music.

On February the 3rd of 1960, he died prematurely in a car accident in Rome. The newspapers  talk about over than 10,000 fans participating at his funeral in Turin: girls and boys, committed, young workers wanted to give their last respects to the popular singer ...

Here at the Le Roi is conserved the pink piano with which he used to perform with the Asternovas.
